Palmitos Park, Maspalomas, Spain
Not considered a normal zoo because it shows only a few species, the Palmitos Park was voted to be one of the best zoos in Europe, being well-known and appreciated by the thousands of visitors daily.
This particular park has a different scene from your normal zoo.
Because it is located on the Island of Gran Canaria near the tourist beaches and dunes of Maspalomoas, the park giving the visitor a unique countryside setting with mountains and beautiful views over the beaches.
Built on 20 hectares, the park is a botanical garden and aviary but also you can find crocodiles, an aquarium, monkeys, Europe’s largest butterfly house and more attractions.
You can enjoy shows by the amphitheater where flying birds of prey give representations, also you find 160 cactus types and 1000 palm trees of 43 different species, who are populated by 1500 exotic birds of 230 different species.
We almost forgot the Dolphinarium where you can see live shows and also take pictures with the dolphins.
