Hong Kong’s home carrier has been always looking for the best opportunities to provide the best of the best for its customers and now it comes up with the world’s first hand-crafted bottled beer, which is a specially brewed beer best to be tasted at 35,000 feet.
The beer named Bets after Cathay Pacific’s first aircraft a Douglas DC-3 which flew passengers around the region in the 1940s and 1950s.
This one-of-a-kind beer will be first served to First and Business Class passengers onboard flights between Hong Kong and destinations in the UK, starting 1st March until 20th April 2017.

It turns out that Cathay Pacific has come up with a combination of science and traditional brewing methods, which was produced in harness with Hong Kong Beer Co.
Created with a combination of Hong Kong and UK-sourced ingredients, aroma and necessary carbonation to taste great both on the ground and in the air, this beer is an amazing creation.

One of the main ingredients of the beer is the “Dragon Eye” fruit which gives it a unique characteristic. The fruit is known for its aromatic properties, and adds to the round, rich, textural properties that make the beer unique.

Betsy Beer’s carefully constructed recipe has been developed accordingly, in order for passengers to enjoy an outstanding one-of-a-kind craft beer at altitude.
