There are plenty of luxurious houses out there that reflect the fine taste of their owners, but when luxury and creativity meet, the result is magnificent. That being said, here are some examples of creative house designs that will blow your mind:
A mansion inspired by manta ray
This ultra modern house concept was imagined by Tsontakis Architecture and was planned for construction crowning Mummy Mountain outside of Phoenix. It will feature two master bathrooms, a private spa and two guest homes included in its property. The main home makes up about half the structure of the property and has windows on all sides providing views of both the mountain and the city below. The back of the house will contain the two guest homes, so they will have a sense of their own privacy.
Its concept is relatively minimal, with huge windows on both sides and symmetrical lower decks on either side that would provide space for hosting large events.
And, of course it has an amazing swimming pool whose water falls down to a system below, just like an infinity pool.
“Flight of a bird” residence
Architect Bernardo Rodrigues created in the north part of S. Michel Island in the Azores, a family residence that looks like flying birds.
His idea came from analyzing the local climate. He imagined a house that will allow a family to enjoy time outside even when it rains by creating empty spaces and using patios or interior gardens.
The trick was to build the rooms in a space with irregular geometry and unusual heights and shapes. For instance, the kitchen with its very high ceiling.
This unusual geometry had some advantages too. It allowed the architect to create very playful children rooms with an “eye-of-the-bird-window” and a cradle where they can relax and play.
Floating glass house
This house is what I call luxury. It is created by Dymitr Malcew, is almost entirely made from glass and constructed on a floating platform, so it can be easily moved from one place to another. The structure offers two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room and kitchen and it’s a dream for those who appreciate freedom and nature.
The concept is inspired by nature, openness and luxurious, yet easy lifestyle. It’s like your home is the nature itself, and it surely is because of the amount of natural light and the complete exposure to the natural environment.
