Do good things happen to good people? This time, they do. As you can see on Top 10 Most Corruption Free Countries article, Denmark is on top. It is the “cleanest” country in the world in terms of corruption.
The key to keep the country clean is the hard work in fighting corruption itself. Denmark has a strong rule of law. It supports civil society and clears rules of governing in public positions.
This doesn’t mean that Denmark has no homework in keeping the country clean. There are still many works to do. It just means that in terms of abuse of power, clandestine deals, and bribery in the public sector, Denmark is currently the cleanest.
It is only logical to say that the Danish are good people by nature. Perhaps that is the key to Denmark’s victory on the last Thomas Cup.
