1. 1953 Cadillac Elegante: $1,275,000
Cadillac never officially built this car. It is a one-off coachbuilt on a Series 62 chassis, with a hand-formed aluminum body by the Turin coachbuilder Carrozzeria Motto and a design credited to Albrecht von Goertz. The body is pearlescent white with a gold roof, and the door handles, windshield frame and custom bronze parts are plated in 24-carat gold. Inside are burgundy Italian leather and a Lucite steering wheel. A 5.4-liter V8 makes about 210 horsepower, and the hardtop retracts. It debuted at the New York auto show in 1955.
The car was damaged in a hurricane, and a 16-year restoration finished in 2014. It had 4,331 miles when Kruse sold it. Most reports give $1,275,000 as the hammer price, while one outlet puts the total with fees near $1.4 million, so we show the lower figure.
2. 1934 V16 Fleetwood Aerodynamic Coupe: $940,000
The V16 was Cadillac’s answer to the grandest European chassis of the early 1930s, and the Aerodynamic Coupe is its most streamlined body. A 1934 car reached $940,000 at Broad Arrow Auctions in 2023, a record for a Cadillac until the Elegante topped it.
The price is the hammer price reported at the time.
3. 2026 Celestiq: about $423,050
The hand-assembled electric flagship cost about $340,000 for 2025. For 2026 the base price rose to the low $400,000s, with GM Authority reporting $423,050. Cadillac says that is before customization, and as-delivered cars have been reported at $500,000 to $600,000. The 2026 car adds a smart glass roof and eight years of connected services as standard.
We use the base price, which makes the Celestiq the most expensive new Cadillac.
4. 1959 Eldorado Biarritz: $415,000
The tailfin Eldorado convertible is the most famous Cadillac body style of its period. A well-kept Biarritz sold for $415,000 on Bring a Trailer, which was a model record at the time of the sale. We could not confirm the sale date, and it has been overtaken by the Elegante and the V16.
The ranking uses the reported final bid.
5. 2026 Escalade-V: from $168,000
Cadillac’s V-Series page lists the gas-powered Escalade-V from $168,000, rising to about $169,325 as configured on the site. It is the most expensive Escalade and the priciest regular-production Cadillac.
The figure is the starting price on Cadillac’s own page.
6. 2026 Escalade IQL Premium Sport: about $151,000 to $154,000
The longer electric Escalade starts at $130,405 in Luxury trim, and the Premium Sport tops the range. Launch pricing with destination was $153,495, and later retail listings show $154,100.
The range reflects whether destination is included.
7. 2026 Escalade IQL Luxury: from about $130,400
The base IQL starts at $130,405 on Cadillac’s site and $132,695 at launch with destination included.
The figure is the lower of the two published starting prices.
8. 2026 Escalade IQ: from $127,405
The standard-length electric Escalade starts $3,000 below the IQL. The price is from Cadillac’s own pricing page.
It is the cheapest Escalade on the list.
9. 2026 CT5-V Blackwing: from about $98,900
The supercharged V8 sedan is the brand’s performance flagship. Cadillac lists it from $98,900, and other guides quote $100,695 to $106,970 depending on transmission and destination. A manual gearbox is available.
Take Cadillac’s number as the floor.
10. 2026 Lyriq-V: from $78,595
The high-performance electric SUV starts at $78,595 and about $88,490 as shown with options on the V-Series page.
We use the starting price.
What changed recently
- September 2026: The Elegante set the record for a Cadillac at public auction, passing the $940,000 set by the 1934 V16.
- 2026 model year: The Celestiq moved from about $340,000 to the low $400,000s.
- Escalade range: The electric IQ and IQL now sit above $127,000, with the gas Escalade-V at $168,000.
What drives these prices
- One-offs beat production. The Elegante exists once, which no 1959 Biarritz can say.
- Coachbuilt and hand-built. The Celestiq is assembled by hand at low volume, and old coachbuilt cars sell for the same reason.
- Condition and restoration. A documented restoration helps; the Elegante’s 16-year project is part of its story.
- Trim stacking. The Escalade becomes a $168,000 car through V-Series and long-wheelbase options.
