Mark McGwire’s 7oth home run was a massive event in Major League Baseball, because it symbolised the most home runs in a single season.
The baseball was signed at the 70th home run game by Mark McGwire and sold for a record-breaking $3 million.
The buyer was Todd McFarlane, a writer and comic book artist, who already has a substantial collection of baseballs from the same 1998 season, and wanted to expand it even more.
