2- International Space Station- $160 billion
The space station or a habitable artificial satellite in low Earth orbit is called The International Space Station (ISS).
ISS is a modular structure and its first component was launched in 1998 by American Space Shuttles, Russian Proton and Soyuz rockets. Today, is the largest artificial body in orbit, which can often, been seen with the naked eye from Earth.
It purpose is as a microgravity and space environment research lab where a crew can conduct experiments in many areas.
The station is qualified for the testing of spacecraft systems and equipment required for missions to the Moon and Mars.
In 2010, the costs to build the ISS were estimated at $160 billion, but the number continues to grow as more and more additions are made to the satellite.
