2. The Valley of Kings (Estimated Cost: $750 million)
In 1922, the tomb of King Tutankhamun was discovered in the valley of Theban Hills, Egypt. It is now known as the Valley of Kings. Until today, there have been 63 tombs found within.
The most popular finding is the tomb of King Tut, who died in 1323 BC. Within his burial chamber, there were thousands of objects, such as antiques and artifacts. One of them is one of the most religious artifacts in the world. It is the Death Mask of Tutankhamun. That single object itself is estimated to worth at least $2 million.
His tomb consists of burial chamber and antechamber with entrance corridor and staircases. The tomb is believed to be robbed twice before the discovery. However, his golden coffin was intact.
The whole objects buried with the King alone are estimated to worth around $700 million. In total, adding the construction and material, it might have cost around $750 million to build.
