7. Chanel’s Supermarket – A/W 2014
What makes this recent Chanel show such a spectacle is the astonishing attention to detail – over 100,000 products were individually made and branded up with Chanel detailing and fancy French names.
The Chanel Supermarket had models walking in and around the shelves with trolleys and shopping baskets, and generally having a bit of role-play fun in the middle of Paris Fashion Week. Lagerfeld made sure his scrupulous efforts weren’t wasted either, inviting the audience into the supermarket at the end of the show so they could traverse the aisles themselves and Instagram everything within reach.
