15 FASTEST Ways to Get RICH (Legally)

The fastest ways to get rich are not the safest or the smartest: they range from a high-income career plus investing (8 to 15 years, 60 to 80% odds) to a lottery jackpot (one second, about 1 in 292 million). The video opens with a quirk of compounding: double $100 fourteen times and you end up with $1.6 million. Nobody wants to wait fifty years, and sometimes wealth arrives with one deal or one bet.

Below are the 15 paths it counts down, each with the time frame and probability of success the script gives, the skills that help, and why most people fail at it. A bonus on proximity closes the list.

15. High income career plus investing

Time: 8 to 15 years, probability 60 to 80%. It is the most boring path: you have a valuable skill, focus on your craft, earn a high income and invest every month without touching it. The helpful skills are consistency, financial literacy, delayed gratification and discipline.

Take an engineer who saves $2,000 a month in index funds. At roughly 10% annual returns, after 15 years that is over $800,000. No hype, no luck, no story, just time.

People usually fail by upgrading their lifestyle, stopping investing or getting distracted. They ignore this path because they are impatient and looking for something quicker.

14. Real estate development

Time: 5 to 12 years, probability 5 to 15%. Slow money that hits all at once, it favors deal analysis, negotiation, patience, capital raising and risk management.

In one example, a man buys land outside Austin for $300K while everyone thinks he is an idiot. Five years later a highway is approved nearby, he rezones the land and sells it to a developer for $4.2M without building anything. He buys more land, and the bank lends him $10M against his $4M to build condos, which sell for $25M five years later. Keep reinvesting, developing and using other people’s money, and you get there.

The odds are low because people run out of money, patience or courage. But developing is something you can learn, as long as you have funds or others trust you with theirs.

13. The company where you work IPOs

Time: 4 to 10 years, probability 1 to 5%. Getting rich from where you already are: join early, take stock instead of cash and stay long enough. Judgment, patience, understanding equity and staying power matter most.

An early Airbnb employee accepted a lower salary for equity, and when the IPO came years later her shares were worth millions. Same job, same work, different outcome. Salary gets the attention and ownership gets ignored.

The risk is staying too long in the wrong company. Pick well and stay, and it is one of the cleanest wealth jumps available.

12. Owning a franchise

Time: 4 to 8 years, probability 15 to 25%. Plug-and-play wealth: you buy into a system that already has a brand, a product, customers and a playbook, and win by following instructions better than others. Operations, hiring, systems thinking, discipline and location selection are the key skills.

A couple opens one fast-food location and works like crazy in year one. Instead of upgrading their lifestyle they open a second, then a third. Six years later they own seven locations generating $500K+ a year in profit. Same burgers, same fries, same system, scaled.

The people who win are not creative but consistent. Most fail by treating it like a job instead of a system. Step out of the day-to-day and let managers run it, and it becomes an asset.

Franchises, partnerships and sales all come down to learning a system from someone who has run it. The Alux app puts you in 10-minute sessions with real operators and mentors, so you can see how these moves are made before you risk money on them. Daily breakdowns show how other people are building wealth.

11. Partnering in a small business

Time: 3 to 7 years, probability 10 to 20%. Ownership without the spotlight: you buy a piece of a business that already works. Capital allocation, negotiation, spotting talent, trust building and basic finance help.

A plumber is fully booked but overwhelmed. An investor offers $50K and helps systemize operations in exchange for 30%. Three years later the business does $2M a year, the plumber works less and the partner gets paid.

No need to start something. Find someone competent, add value and take equity. Most fail because they don’t trust others or can’t pick the right partner.

10. Your startup gets acquired

Time: 3 to 8 years, probability 1 to 3%. A giant company isn’t required, only something useful enough that someone bigger wants it. Problem solving, speed, product-market fit, storytelling and execution count.

Two founders build a small-niche tool for Shopify stores that solves one real problem, and Shopify acquires it for $20M. They didn’t go viral or dominate a market. They built something valuable to the right buyer.

The usual failure is building what they like, not what others need. Millions of customers aren’t needed, sometimes just one buyer with a checkbook. From here, the video says, the paths can change your life in under three years.

9. Early crypto token or meme stock

Time: 6 months to 5 years, odds 1 to 5%. Fast money with no rules, it needs conviction, timing, emotional control and risk tolerance.

A teenager spends $1,000 of birthday money on Bitcoin, Doge or a meme stock found on WallStreetBets and holds through the crashes. Years later, by pure luck, it is worth millions. He didn’t trade or outsmart anyone. He just didn’t sell.

The usual mistakes: buying late, panicking early or thinking they are smarter than they are. The path creates legends and graveyards, and you can lose money faster than you made it. Looking back, it adds, you didn’t miss crypto, you hesitated.

8. High commission sales

Time: 1 to 3 years, probability 20 to 40%. One of the fastest legitimate routes if you have no money, no audience and no famous last name. Persuasion, communication, rejection tolerance, confidence and consistency matter. Sell software, real estate, solar, recruiting, financial products or high-ticket services, well, and you can out-earn doctors, lawyers and engineers at 24 with no degree.

Take a man with no college education who sells solar door to door. He is rejected 300 times in month one, closes 4 deals in month two and figures out the pitch in month three. Two years later he earns $350,000 a year, since each sale pays $8,000 to $15,000 in commission.

The upside is uncapped: the company takes the risk and you take the upside. The usual failures: can’t handle rejection, take no personally or quit before the skill compounds.

7. Flipping something you bought super cheap

Time: 30 days to 3 years, probability 30 to 50%. Capitalism in its purest form: buy low, improve perception, sell higher. Pattern recognition, negotiation, speed, market awareness and taste help. Cars and houses are the big items, but collectibles, furniture and overseas manufacturing work too.

A woman buys a couch on Facebook Marketplace for $80, cleans it, takes better photos and lists it for $350. It sells in two days. She repeats it five times that month, then twenty. A year later it is a full business with a warehouse and employees.

The trick is having the eye for underpriced things, desperate sellers, ugly listings and hidden demand. Most fail because they don’t know what things are worth, get greedy or never scale past lucky flips. One flip feels like luck, while a hundred become a system.

6. Prediction market bet

Time: 1 day to 6 months, probability 5 to 10%. Betting with research. Markets cover events such as elections, lawsuits, policy decisions, sports outcomes, macro events and approvals or bans. The skills are research, probability thinking, emotional detachment, speed and an information advantage.

The idea is that the crowd is pricing something wrong because it is emotional while you are calm. In the video’s example, a trader sees a market overreacting to headlines, finds the data doesn’t match the narrative, puts down $50,000 and walks away with $400,000 three weeks later. It adds that the example is based on a real story in which a French trader bet $30 million on a recent election and was paid $85 million.

Failure comes from betting with emotion, following headlines or mistaking confidence for edge. Call it gambling, only smarter-looking. From here on, it says, the paths require control.

5. Maxed-out leverage trading

Time: 1 hour to 12 months, probability under 1% to 5%. Financial cocaine, the video calls it, and not investing but “I think the market moves 3% and I’m willing to bet my life on it.” With enough leverage, a small move makes you rich or wipes you out instantly. Extreme discipline, timing, risk control, emotional regulation and position sizing are required.

A trader turns $500 into $80,000 in three weeks trading leveraged crypto, thinks they found the cheat code, doubles down and is at zero one bad move later. In their group chat, another person posts an opposite position that made $4.5 million the same day.

It is probably the fastest legal way to multiply capital and the fastest way to destroy yourself. People over-size positions, skip stop losses or get addicted to the feeling of being right. It can make you rich in a day and a cautionary tale by lunch.

4. Hit song

Time: one day after release, or ten years of invisible pain, probability under 1%. It looks instant from the outside and endless from the inside. A hit song is an asset that pays through streams, publishing, royalties, touring, licensing, sync deals, brand deals and catalog value.

An artist uploads songs for 8 years with none charting. Then one track blows up on TikTok and within six months there are 100M streams, label meetings, festival offers and sync placements. The public sees overnight success, while the artist knows it was ten years compressed into three minutes.

Artists quit too early, never get distribution or write a song that isn’t sticky enough. They also often don’t own the songs, since the labels do. Culture scales faster than labor ever will, and the real build-up is in the catalog, because one piece of art catching fire can pay you for years and light up everything else you have released.

3. Go viral

Time: 1 post to 2 years, odds 1 to 3%. Attention turning into money. Permission is no longer needed, only one idea, one moment, one piece of content people can’t ignore.

Say a man posts a simple video explaining a concept better than anyone else and gets 20 million views. Overnight he has 300,000 followers, inbound offers, brand deals and product launches, and within 90 days he makes $250,000. Not from the video, but from what he did after it.

Many go viral and don’t monetize, wait too long or never learn to convert attention into income. Views don’t make you rich, owning what happens after the views does.

2. Inheritance

Time: 1 day, probability 10 to 20% of receiving meaningful wealth. You didn’t build it, you received it. Per the video, $84 trillion is expected to transfer between generations over the next 20 years, the largest wealth transfer in human history. The skills it lists are preservation, financial literacy, restraint, emotional control and getting on the good side of your childless aunt.

Two siblings inherit $2 million. One upgrades lifestyle, buys cars, helps everyone and invests nothing, and is broke five years later. The other invests, lives modestly and builds income streams, and ten years later has a $5M+ net worth.

People fail by confusing wealth with income, feeling guilty about spending differently or never learning how money works.

Getting rich is one skill and staying rich is another.

1. Jackpot or winning the lotto

Time: one second, probability about 0.0000003%, or 1 in 292 million. Pure luck, with no skill required to win and only discipline required to survive it.

Picture a man who wins $10 million. Within three years there is a new house, new cars, new friends and new problems, and within five he is bankrupt. Another winner stays anonymous, hires advisors, invests everything and lives off the returns, and ten years later is still wealthy. Same lottery, different identity.

Most winners have never managed money, upgrade too fast or attract people who drain them.

Winning the lottery doesn’t make you rich. It exposes who you already are.

Bonus: the real fastest way to get rich

Time: 1 to 10 years, probability 30 to 60% if pursued intentionally. The fastest way, the video argues, is not a method but proximity. Money doesn’t move randomly, it moves in circles: rooms, groups and networks. Deals don’t happen on Google. They happen at dinners, in private chats, inside companies and between people who already trust each other.

A junior employee attends an industry event he almost skipped and meets a founder. That becomes a job, then equity, then a company exit. He didn’t change his intelligence, he changed his environment.

Surrounded by broke people, low ambition and no opportunity, you can work hard forever and nothing changes. Put yourself in rooms where deals happen, money flows and people build, and you don’t have to chase opportunity, you become visible to it.

The biggest difference between rich and poor isn’t effort, it’s exposure.

Every path asks for a different you

The closing point is that every path on the list works, but each requires a different version of you. Most people don’t fail because the path is wrong. They fail because they never become the person it requires.

Getting rich, it says, is not a mystery. It combines timing, skill and environment with a few decisions most people are too afraid to make. The high-risk entries here, especially the leveraged trading and betting ones, can lose money as fast as they make it.
