The area is known as the Jailhotel and has a trendy yet slightly ominous feel. Its hallways are long and slim, and the doors to each of the rooms still have loads of locks on them.
While the look is vintage and trendy, it sort of makes you ask why you require the additional security.
Every single one of the rooms has a private bathroom and wooden floors. The hotel is also part of the Lucerne hotel group, which includes four luxury hotels in Switzerland and Italy.
Some of the rooms at the Lucerne Jailhotel even look like original jail cells and include a sink and toilet.
