Prepare Yourself for Season 7 with Game of Thrones Bottles of Wine
Because everyone needs to be prepared when a new season of the TV Show Game of Thrones is coming up, HBO decided to launch Game of Thrones bottles of wine.
While you wait for the new season, you might as well wait in style. You can just sip a glass of wine and be exactly like Tyrion Lannister or Cersei.
Because it is the one drink that’s featured in every episode of the series, there will be a wine special released by HBO in the name of the series.
True fans will be happy to hear that HBO in partnership with Vintage Wine Estates, a Santa Rosa winery, is going to release a ‘proprietary red blend’.
With the widespread popularity of the show, the price range is expected to cost an arm and a leg. Fortunately, according to the A.V. Club, it’s contrary to what people initially believe, as the tags are very friendly.
How much you are going to pay for the wines?
You’ll be able to choose from a total of three types of wine such as Cabernet Sauvignon ($39.99), and a chardonnay ($19.99).
The perfect opportunity for collectors to add one more (or three) items of the Game of Thrones memorabilia to their collection.
The bottles are decked up with signs of the major families of the series from stags to dragons and lions.
“Given the prominent role of wine on ‘Game of Thrones’ and our previous success in the beverage category, an officially licensed wine for the show feels like a natural extension for our fans.” ‘Game of Thrones’ wines most definitely will add to the fan experience as the battle for the Iron Throne heats up heading into the final seasons.” The director of licensing and retail for HBO, Jeff Peters had to say.
“Everything’s better with some wine in the belly,” remember who said that, don’t you?
Yes, it was Tyrion Lannister and because you are such a real fan you are going to do exactly as he says. Buy yourself a bottle of that wine, it’s an order! Haha
The latest licensing deal with the network is their popular beer partnership with Brewery Ommegang, which released seven beers hewing close to the themes explored in both the HBO series and the books written by George R.R. Martin.
“‘Game of Thrones’ wines most definitely will add to the fan experience as the battle for the Iron Throne heats up heading into the final seasons.”
The wines named “Seven Kingdoms” will be available nationally in 750-millimeter bottles in spring 2017.
Considering how much Cersei and Tyrion love the beverage, this seems like easy money for HBO.
