11. Mansion to mansion
Besides all the charity donations he made, what does George Soros do with his money? Well, Soros is living large. He owns many luxurious properties, not to mention those purchased under his children’s names.
Like most US investors, Soros owns a luxurious apartment in New York. It is not a typical city apartment, but one with sixteen rooms. And it is located on 1060 Fifth Avenue.
There is no report about how much he spent to buy this place. But to keep the apartment, he paid around $24 million as divorce settlement.
Besides his New York City apartment, Soros also owns a mansion in Southampton and another one in Bedford. And both are super luxurious. The one in Bedford is probably the most expensive considering the 53-acre estate was bought from Michael Crichton and it has nineteen luxurious rooms.
