8. Oslo
Oslo is the most populated city from Norway and has a history in developing a greener environment for its people, trying to maintain the high quality of living.
The main characteristic that boosted this city in the list of the greenest cities in the world is that it has the lowest carbon emission in Europe. But this city makes more efforts on growing a green lifestyle.
The high and expensive lifestyle of the city makes it to be one of the greenest in Europe due to it’s underground recycling pumps that come out of every house, due to its heating and energy program that rely on burning city rubbish, and the 140 buses that run on biofuel.
This way of life is supported by the citizens of Oslo who do everything possible to maintain the green attitude and who offers you and everyone else the cleanest city, where you will never find trash on the streets.
