7. Stockholm
The green capital of the world, back in 2010, Stockholm is one of the competing cities for the title of the greenest city in the world.
Due to this award the future plans for a greener life started to take shape, and the citizens of the city now can commute with biogas fueled transportation, adding to this gas emission reduction the purifying of the rain water to be used as house hold water.
The carbon emissions now have an impressive quota and the 3.4 tons emitted here are way better than the 10 ton average quota of the European capital.
But the best feature of Stockholm is that 40% of the city is covered in green spaces but the real factor that completes all the green plans for the future is that it has an administrative system who includes environmental plans in the city budget and operational planing, reporting and calculating are done to ensure every step for a greener living space.
