Sweden is giving us another city to the greenest cities in the world list and a perfect contender that has the goal to become the leading eco-city of Europe or the entire world.
Most of the regions of this leading eco friendly city run on hydropower electricity, and most of the city’s buildings have installed solar thermal systems so that they are energy friendly and can sustain it’s self from this point of view.
40% of the population from Malmo go to work everyday by bike and also a third of the visitors who come here are bike friendly people who prefer to use the bike than other transportation way.
More of the neighborhoods of Malmo became sustainable and eco-friendly enclaves, areas like Western Harbour, Sege Park and Augustenborg use sun, wind and water to make energy and use biofuel from organic waste for the transportation.
