11. Yaya Toure ($20 million)
Manchester City is not just the home to the highest paid soccer manager in the world, but also to several highest paid soccer players, including Yaya Toure. He signed a contract with the club back in 2010 for $17 million of annual salary.
The 33-year-old midfielder has been very influential to the club’s success. Even so, the club is not willing to sign him three more years of contract. It seems like he is settled to leave the club after missing out the first match of this season.
Well, regardless the amount of salary Toure will get if he stays or leaves, he will still have $3 million of annual earnings from his endorsement deals at least until the end of this year. His major sponsors are Nissan and Puma.
If he ends things with Manchester City, he will be leaving behind 57 goals he has scored for the club in a total of 195 matches he played in the domestic league besides his salary.
