Located south of Mitte, Kreuzberg is one of the best-known areas of Berlin and is entrenched in punk rock history.
The best club to party here is the SO36, which originally focused on punk music and was often frequented by Iggy Pop and David Bowie. And lots of hipsters.
However, punk music isn’t the only genre here. There has also been an influence from African-American and hip hop culture, making the area a centre of rap and breakdance.
