Most Hipster Neighborhoods in the World | Top 10
Do you know which are the most hipster neighborhoods in the world? If you don’t, then you’re about to find out!
Are you a ‘semi-pro’ photographer who likes listening to indie folk, drink craft beer and eat organic?
Your wardrobe contains ultra skinny jeans, large T-shirts, mustache for him and polka dot dress for her? Then you’re a bit hipster.
We know how difficult it is to define what exactly a hipster is.
However, from Stockholm to Singapore, these neighborhoods promote mostly art and music, and they are filled with trendy bars, graffiti and music festivals, perfect for the hipster ‘nation’.
Let’s get straight to business!
10Kreuzberg – Berlin, Germany
We begin our journey in Germany. If you must know, Iggy Pop lived in this section of Berlin.
Located south of Mitte, Kreuzberg is one of the best-known areas of Berlin and is entrenched in punk rock history.
The best club to party here is the SO36, which originally focused on punk music and was often frequented by Iggy Pop and David Bowie. And lots of hipsters.
However, punk music isn’t the only genre here. There has also been an influence from African-American and hip hop culture, making the area a centre of rap and breakdance.
So if you’re planing to visit Berlin any time soon, check out the amazing graffiti, go swimming in a swimming pool floating on the River Spree, buy something from the boutique Voo Store and have a beer at SO36.
