Located west of Cheuca and east of Arguelles, Malasana is an area of Madrid, filled with creative and countercultural scene.
It is considered the birthplace of Spanish nightlife. And it is not hard to tell why is this place favored not only by hipsters.
From the late 1970s, this place has not seen a moment of peace.
This vibrant neighborhood is the best place for the hipster phenomena, full of bars, clubs and even beaches, for young people. Plaza del Dos de Mayo is the center which hosts a large festival on May 2.
Did you know that hipsters are called ‘modernos’ in Spanish? Meaning ‘people who totally liked Edison bulbs before they were cool’. So they say.
