8Tiong Bahru — Singapore
Tiong Bahru was built in the 1930s, and is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Singapore.
It consists of about 30 apartment blocks with a total of over 900 units.
It used to be the part of town where rich businessmen stashed their mistresses.
Nowadays, the place is full of overpriced coffee bars and fancy shops selling mustache wax and horn-rimmed glasses.
