Ice Hotel covers 5,500 square meters and is constructed from 1,000 tonnes of Torne River ice and 30,000 tons of “snice”, a mixture of snow and ice that strengthens the structure. Around 100 people are involved in the construction of Ice Hotel, half of which are artists especially invited to design particular areas of the hotel. So, the rooms are very artistic and you can choose from a deluxe suite to rooms carved by hand or an ice and light installation that celebrates the Aurora Borealis.

Hotel Kakslauttanen, Finland
This one is a family hotel in Finnish Lapland, 250 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle. Here, you can enjoy staying in a glass igloo, from which you can admire the northern lights and the twinkling of the bright, starry sky with your loved one, in the comforting warmth of room temperature. Under the glass roof, you will find your own toilet, beds for 2 people and an additional bed, should you need it. They are available around the third week of August, until the end of April.

You will have so many rare birds congregate in the garden and will watch the perfect sunset. A collection of rare bamboos are planted in the garden, the furniture is giant bamboo and old java country style teak and the windows are louvers from a Dutch colonial house in Java. You can choose between waterfall, rivers, coconut or bamboo houses. It’s a way of knowing nature by being part of it.
