Homestead Resort and Spa, Utah, USA
The Homestead sits at 700 North Homestead Drive in Midway, Utah. Its main attraction is the Crater, a geothermal dome where guests can soak, swim and scuba dive in mineral water, which the resort describes as a 10,000 year-old hot spring experience. The resort has six year-round heated pools and a free daily ski shuttle to Deer Valley East, and it lists a new spa, fitness center and reimagined golf course as scheduled to open in 2027. Crater pricing is not published online, so call the resort or ask about the Crater Soak and Stay package.
The Cambrian Hotel, Adelboden, Switzerland
The Cambrian is set among the Bernese Oberland mountains in Adelboden. It holds one Michelin Key and has a spa with a heated outdoor pool, though its guide entry calls the spa small. We could not confirm its 2026 Key status or current rates. It remains a base for skiing in winter and walking in the pastures around the village in summer.
Icehotel in Jukkasjarvi, Sweden
Icehotel is rebuilt from ice each winter with invited artists designing the rooms. It now offers two kinds of stay: year-round rooms such as the Art Suite 365 and Deluxe Suite 365, plus the winter-only Art Suite and Ice Room, available from December to April. Winter packages are listed from December 1. Prices are not listed on the main page, so check the booking page. We have not re-verified the build figures from our earlier version.

Hotel Kakslauttanen, Finland
This family-run resort is in Saariselka, Finnish Lapland. Glass igloos let you watch the northern lights from your bed, warm at room temperature. The northern lights season begins around the third week of August and runs to about the end of April. Igloo options range from a small igloo with shower and sauna for 3 guests to a large one for 5 and a Kelo-Glass igloo for 6. The resort lists winter accommodation with half board from EUR 501 per night, and autumn rates from EUR 278 per night with breakfast and dinner.
Panchoran Retreat, Bali
Panchoran is a nature-led stay in Bali built from bamboo and reclaimed materials. Reports from 2018 describe five bamboo villas set in the forest, with views into the coconut palms. We could not find a current nightly rate or verify its 2026 status, so confirm with the owners before you go.
