The best luxury hotel in Fort Lauderdale in 2026 is The Ritz-Carlton, with the Four Seasons and the rebuilt Pier Sixty-Six close behind. This list ranks ten luxury hotels on the beach and Intracoastal, based on brand tier, setting and amenities. Two hotels from our old list have gone: Il Lugano is now a Residence Inn, and the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six has been rebuilt as Pier Sixty-Six.
Fort Lauderdale is a short drive from Miami and has its own pattern: spring break crowds in March and April, quieter and cheaper summers, and a yachting scene that centres on the Intracoastal. Rates move with all of that, and we could not confirm current nightly rates for every hotel, so check dates before booking.

The ranking
1. The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale
The Ritz-Carlton is still our pick on the beach. Official facilities include the Burlock Coast restaurant, the Sea la Vie sundeck pool, a spa, a club lounge and a ballroom for up to 380 guests. Valet parking is $59 a day.
The brand is also launching Ritz-Carlton Residences Fort Lauderdale Beach, with sales that started in early 2026, which tells you how strongly the market views the location.
How we valued it: facilities and fees from the hotel page; ranked on brand tier and location.
2. Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale
Four Seasons is the newest luxury name on the beach. Before opening it was announced with 129 rooms, 19 suites and 41 hotel residences, and it opened in the early 2020s. An aggregator listed rates from about 912 euros a night, but the figure is undated, so treat it as a rough guide only.
How we valued it: pre-opening room count and an undated rate indicator; ranked on brand tier.
3. Pier Sixty-Six
The old Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six was heavily damaged by Hurricane Irma in 2017 and bought by Tavistock Development. It had a grand reopening in January 2025 after a reported billion-dollar rebuild. The preserved tower is 17 stories tall and contains a revolving rooftop lounge, Pier Top, with 360-degree views.
New dining includes Calusso (fine dining), Garni (all-day brunch) and the adults-only Nectar Room. The marina has a 5,000-foot dock, tax-free fuelling and 24/7 security. Reports give a room count of around 325. This is the yachting address in Fort Lauderdale.
How we valued it: trade and travel reports of the 2025 reopening; room count reported but unconfirmed.
4. Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach
The Conrad is a Hilton luxury brand hotel that opened in 2016 with nearly 300 rooms and suites. It is a modern tower on the beach and a good match for guests who prefer contemporary design.
How we valued it: room count from pre-opening coverage; no current rate confirmed.
5. The Atlantic Hotel and Spa
The Atlantic is a boutique beachfront hotel at 601 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd. It still takes bookings and had guest reviews logged in early 2026.
How we valued it: operating status from booking-site reviews; no rate confirmed.
6. Marriott Harbor Beach Resort and Spa
This is an oceanfront resort on a quarter mile of private beach, with a spa and a lagoon-style pool. It stays on our list as the big-resort option for families.
How we valued it: operating status from a current guide; amenities as first described on this page, unconfirmed for 2026.
7. Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort
Beach access, a pool deck, an infinity pool and a spa make this the best-value brand-name option on the beach.
How we valued it: features as previously listed here, so check them for your dates.
8. W Fort Lauderdale
The W is the party-minded stay, with a design-led lobby and bars. It went through a renovation reported at $55 million, and the first phase was announced as complete.
How we valued it: trade report of the renovation; we did not confirm the current rate.
9. Pelican Grand Beach Resort
Pelican Grand is a private-beach resort with a zero-entry pool, a lazy river, an oceanfront spa and Old Florida style interiors.
How we valued it: a feature set we have not re-checked this year.
10. Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach
The Sonesta has oceanfront rooms, an infinity pool, cabanas and sun decks. We placed it last because we could not re-check its 2026 status or rates.
How we valued it: amenities as previously described, and its status is the least certain of the ten.
Also worth knowing
The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Hollywood is about 12 miles away from the city and is still a popular option for casino guests, though we no longer rank it as a Fort Lauderdale hotel. The newest big-ticket arrival is the Omni Fort Lauderdale, a 29-story waterfront hotel with 801 rooms, 82 of them suites, but it is a convention-scale property, so we left it off the luxury ranking.
