13. From farm house to mansion
Being one of the richest in the world gives you the right to own as many luxurious property as you need. And Michael Bloomberg did exactly that. He owns not just one, but many luxury mansions most of us can only dream of.
Let’s start with the ones in New York City, the home to some of the most expensive penthouses in US, where he was a Mayor. He bought a five-story townhouse on 17 East 79th Street of Upper East Side. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, he bought four units of the apartment building next to his. Combined, the joined-property is worth around $30 million. And in addition to that, he also owns a 1820 $4-million farmhouse in North Salem.
The biggest property he owns and lives in is probably the one located in the Hamptons, Long Island. A 1913 mansion stood across a 22,000-square-foot area with large gardens and horse stables. Designed by the popular Olmstead Brothers, it is worth around $20 million.
If you want to know how it feels like living in Michael Bloomberg’s house, you can book the Mountain Haus, Colorado. The hotel-like condo is owned by Bloomberg and kept to his taste. However, you gotta dig a little deeper into your pocket for this 72-room property.
