This city’s past left deep scars.
Baghdad is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Iraq, the second largest city in the Arab world and also, the second largest city in Western Asia.
Baghdad is also very well known for being the world’s most dangerous place for years. Apparently things calmed down a little bit after the US invasion, but not completely.
The numerous years of bombings destroyed the city’s infrastructure almost entirely and until this day, suicide bombings and random gunfire continue to terrorize the people.
With such an unstable political climate, there’s no surprise that Baghdad is sinking.
