Modern Family also hires one of the highest-paid TV actors. It is the legendary Ed O’Neill. He plays Jay Pritchett. He is a middle-aged patriarch of the Pritchett Family. And he is married to a beautiful Colombian woman who is 20 years younger than him, Gloria Delgado (portrayed by Sofia Vergara).
Modern Family is a comedy TV series about three different families. Ed’s character heads a large unconventional family. His daughter and her husband is the second featured family with three young kids. The other one is a gay-couple family with one adopted daughter.
The show has been going on for eight years since 2009. Its rating kept going up from around 9 million viewers to almost 13 million from season 1 to season 3. Then it starts to decline. And last season, it was a little under 10 million viewers.
ABC is charging $240,000 for any company to promote their products or services on its network for 30 seconds during Modern Family‘s time slot.
