5. 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake – $5,500,000

From this point forward, the prices get bigger and the cars better. On the fifth place is a ultra-rare Super Snake model.
All the Super Snake competition models were powerful and difficult to control, and so the 427 inspired Carroll Shelby-friend Bill Cosby to create the 200 MPH model
And so, the car became Shelby’s personal vehicle for years, and that was more than enough to make the car sell for $5.5 million in a 2007 Barrett-Jackson auction.
At that time, it was a record-setting sum for an American-made car.
