#6 Ming Dynasty Gold Tripod Vessel – $14.2 million
Most of us are familiar with the Ming Dynasty or at least we’ve heard at least once the name when it comes to really expensive vessels!
Dating from the Xuande Period of the Ming dynasty, this gold tripod vessel is made from 18-karat gold.
Also, it is embellished with precious cabochon gems, rubies, natural pearls, sapphires and cat’s eye chrysoberyl.
The antique was sold at Sotheby’s in 2008, in Hong Kong.
