#4. Babe Ruth’s Baseball: $388,375
You already know that Babe Ruth was one of the greatest baseball players in history, and that his baseball card fetched for almost one million at the last auction.
What you don’t know is that a crisp, clean baseball since 1927 containing Ruth’s signature went to the auction block in 2012, and made the bidders bet until it reached $388,375.
In 1926 a baseball was given to 11-year-old Johnny Sylvester who fell off a horse and injured himself.
The person that gave him the baseball and a promise that will hit a home run was Babe Ruth. Soon, it became the most famous signed baseball in history.
The memorabilia was once owned by Red Sox batter Ted Williams.
