41924 Australian Banknote – $1.2 million
This rare 1924 George V 1000 pound Australian banknote which was sold in a public auction, set a new world record for most expensive Australian banknote ever sold.
Purchased by the Rare Coin Company for $1.2 million, the banknote was last sold during at auction in November 1998, where it fetched $86.000.
