Everybody has seen this epic war movie in which the blond actor Brad Pitt plays the role of Achilles leader of the Myrmidons and the protagonist of the Trojan war.
Second from the list of most expensive Brad Pitt movies made it to the box office of top 60 most viewed films having a 175 million dollars estimated budget with 50 millions only for marketing and the amazing worldwide gross of almost half a billion dollars.
Some impressive numbers but also an impressive cast because beside the main man Achilles who was interpreted by Pitt also stared Eric Bana, Orlando Bloom, Diane Kruger, Saffron Burrows, Sean Bean,Brian Cox, Brendan Gleeson, Rose Byrne, Vincent Regan, Garrett Hedlund, Tyler Mane, and Peter O’Toole.
If by 2005 this film was called the most expensive movie ever made, now still stand’s up, and hold number two in the most expensive Brad Pitt movies, being a war action based movie filmed in Malta, in different locations and in Cabo Mexico.
For an expensive movie it had a huge success overseas, where it made more that 70% of it’s profits. The impressive scenery all the cast, doubles, figurative doubles and the amazing sets came with a price but for those who don’t know some minor mistakes were made.
The most remarkable one is the commercial airline plane who was flying over a battle between the Greeks and the people of Troy.
