Sex.com is known to be the most expensive domain name ever bought for a pornography website. And it should come as no surprise, just imagine how many times a day the word “sex” is being googled. Guess which is always the first result.
I’m telling you, buying this domain was a terribly smart move! The domain was bought in 2006 for the unbelievable total of 14 million dollars by Escom LLC.
At the time speaking, Sex.com is the property of Clover Holdings LTD that finally succeeded to buy the domain on November 18, 2010 for 11.5 million dollars.
Pornography websites are doing pretty well, I see.
