*Earp was at different times in his life a city policeman, county sheriff, teamster, buffalo hunter, bouncer, saloon-keeper, gambler, brothel owner, pimp, miner, and boxing referee.
His gun was sold at an auction as a piece of memorabilia tied to him. The auction gathered more than 6,400 online bidders and more than 400 collectors; people who really wanted some of Earp’s objects.
The centerpiece of the auction was a Colt .45 caliber revolver that descendants affirm that he carried during his time in Tombstone, Arizona.
It is believed that the same gun was used to kill three outlaw Cowboys at O.K. Corral gun-fight.
The gun was sold to someone from New Mexico for $225,000 making the bidder a happy man.
