5 Crow’s Nest Keys – $147,000
Obviously sold for more, these Crow’s nest keys fetched approximately $147,000.
The key was left behind on the ship and opened a box that held a pair of essential binoculars inside of it.
Without the help of the binoculars the lookout was forced to scan the horizon with the naked eye. The crow’s nest key was sold in 2007 at Henry Aldridge.
The missing key was later brought up in the inquest, which followed the accident. Because of the price the key is amongst the most expensive items of Titanic memorabilia.
