This movie is actually a remake of ‘Infernal Affairs’, a Hong Kong film.
Nevertheless, ‘The Departed’ was nominated for several awards and won 4 Academy Awards.
The movie has grossed over $289 million worldwide, Martin Scorsese walked away with an Academy Award for ‘Best Director’ and Leonardo DiCaprio with a $20 million paycheck.
Story line : ‘ An undercover state cop who has infiltrated an Irish gang and a mole in the police force working for the same mob race to track down and identify each other before being exposed to the enemy, after both sides realize their outfit has a rat.’
