When it comes to new films, the year of 2013 was mostly about ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ and ‘The Great Gatsby’.
Directed by Martin Scorsese, the American black comedy film is based on Jordan Belfort’s memoir of the same name.
It was released on December 25, and has grossed over $392 million worldwide against a $100 million budget.
The movie was so good, it was nominated for 5 Academy Awards, including ‘Best Picture’, ‘Best Adapted Screenplay’ for Terrence Winter,’ Best Director’ for Martin Scorsese, and of course, ‘Best Supporting Actor’ for Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill.
Sure, we saw more sex, drugs and rock and roll than in other movies, but as you know, sex sell and the story was incredible.
