Pineapples are usually consumed fresh, cooked, juiced, and preserved, and are found in a wide array of cuisines, but this one is a bit different than your ordinary pineapple.
Why is that you might ask. Well it’s because this one was produced in the Lost Gardens of Heligan in Cornwall, England and it’s worth £10,000 first of all.
And secondly the technique used for growing it involves heating 30 tons of straw and horse manure through glass.
But most importantly, after the first fruit was tested by Heligan’s gardeners, the second was delivered, by hand, to the Queen.
Used in some signature motifs around the world, this fruit has also been a symbol of friendship,hospitality and many more in different cultures.
When asked how does the most expensive pineapple taste like, James Stephens, a Lost Gardens spokesman told the Telegraph that they were
“deliciously sweet, not stringy, and with an explosive flavour.”
