Most Expensive Police Cars In The World

The most expensive police cars in the world belong to the Dubai Police, whose fleet includes an Aston Martin One-77 (listed in Dubai at about $2.9 million in 2012) and a Bugatti Veyron that holds the Guinness record for fastest police car in service, at 253 mph (407 km/h). Dubai started its exotic collection in 2013 with a Lamborghini Aventador and has kept adding. This list ranks five of its priciest patrol cars as of October 2026, using list prices and our labelled estimates where no single price exists.

One thing to know: the supercars are used for traffic enforcement and visibility in tourist areas, not for pursuits.

Rank Car Price (USD) Basis Used by
1 Aston Martin One-77 about $2.9 million (listed 2012) Original price £1.15 million, 77 built Dubai Police
2 Bugatti Veyron about $1.5 to $2.3 million Roughly £1 million new, special editions to $2.3 million Dubai Police
3 Lamborghini Aventador about $400,000 (our estimate) Estimate for a standard coupe Dubai Police
4 Rolls-Royce Cullinan from about $325,000 US starting price Dubai Police
5 Ferrari FF about $300,000 (our estimate) Estimate, used market Dubai Police

1. Aston Martin One-77: about $2.9 million

Aston Martin built only 77 of these, plus a few development cars, and the first sold for £1,150,000. One of the 77 was offered in Dubai in 2012 for 11 million dirhams, about $2.9 million, which is a good guide to what the market asked. Dubai Police added a One-77 to its fleet, which makes it the priciest patrol car we can document.

How we valued it: the 2012 Dubai asking price, as published, because police cars are not sold to the public.

2. Bugatti Veyron: about $1.5 to $2.3 million

Dubai’s Veyron earned the force a Guinness World Record for “fastest police car in service,” with a top speed of 253 mph (407 km/h). The previous record holder was the Italian police with a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4. The car sold to customers for roughly £1 million when new, even though building it reportedly cost about £5 million. Special editions cost much more: the World Record Edition sold for €1.99 million, and the Linea Vivere cost $2.3 million.

How we valued it: a range from the standard new price to special editions, converted approximately.

3. Lamborghini Aventador: about $400,000

The Aventador was the first exotic in Dubai’s police collection, in 2013. The model was later discontinued, and the final Aventador Ultimae sold for over $1.6 million at an RM Sotheby’s auction in April 2022, paired with an NFT. A standard coupe cost far less when new, so we estimate about $400,000.

How we valued it: our estimate for a standard new coupe, not a published price.

4. Rolls-Royce Cullinan: from about $325,000

Rolls-Royce’s SUV starts at about $325,000 in the United States (£255,000). It is one of the more recent additions to the fleet.

How we valued it: the published US starting price.

5. Ferrari FF: about $300,000

The FF was the fastest four-seater in the world when it launched, with a 6.3-litre V12 that makes 650 hp and a top speed of 208 mph. Dubai Police has one in its fleet. The car is no longer in production, so we estimate used prices at about $300,000.

How we valued it: our estimate from used-market levels, so approximate.

Records set in 2025 and 2026

We found no new record. The fleet has kept growing with modern models, including the Tesla Cybertruck, which starts at $60,990 (and up to $99,990 for the tri-motor version), the Lamborghini Urus, the Genesis GV80 and Hongqi E-HS9. None of these threaten the top five by price.

What drives these prices

  • Publicity. A police Bugatti makes headlines and photographs well.
  • Tourist zones. The cars patrol areas where visitors take pictures.
  • Rarity. Production runs of 77 or a few hundred set the market value.
  • Not a normal purchase. Police cars are not sold to the public, so list and market prices are only a guide to the cost.
