2.Seagaia Ocean Dome – $2 billion
At the same price as San Alfonso del Mar, the Seagaia Ocean Dome is definitely one of the most expensive pools in the world.
Costing no less than $2 billion, the Seagaia Ocean Dome is the largest indoor pool, and was built in 1993. Located in Miyazaki, Japan, the pool is pretty much a fabricated ocean, with a beach and a fake volcano which erupts every 15 minutes.
The retractable roof allows the sun to shine in the warmer days, and several times a day the pool is cleared to allow the surfers to catch a wave.
Due to financial problems and reconstructing plans, the Seagaia Ocean Dome was closed several times. In 2007 it was closed indefinitely.
