8- Apollo 17 Rolex – $131,450
The last mission in the lunar landing program of the US was performed by the Apollo 17. Human’s sixth landing on the surface of the moon.
The mission happened in 1972 and was manned by a three-member crew. Their names were Eugene Cernan, Ronald Evans and Harrison Schmitt.
After all these years, this is still considered as the most recent manned flight outside the low Earth orbit and the most recent landing by man on the moon.
They were the ones that spend the longest time in lunar orbit and took home the largest amount of lunar samples.
One of the crew members was wearing a Rolex during the mission, which for some was a momentum of the space travel.
The one that was wearing the Rolex auctioned for $13,450 was Ronald Evans. The Rolex was sold at Heritage Galleries for $131,450.
