The second most expensive TV show ever made is Rome. Which for some, is the best TV show ever produced.
Rome tells us the story of Lucius Vorenus and Titus Pullo with the Roman Empire as backdrop. The show had massive sets, elaborate costumes and extensive CGI use which made the show be amongst the most expensive TV productions ever.
It aired from 2005 to 2007, for two seasons Rome gained huge ratings, which caused the studios to talk about a movie version in 2008.
Just like happened with Deadwood and many others, we find ourselves, six years later, still waiting for the Rome movie.
