The Japanese public multinational corporation is famous for manufacturing automobiles, motorcycles, and power equipment.
Since it was first established in 1959, Honda has been the largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world.
As well as the world’s largest manufacturer of internal combustion engines measured by volume, producing more than 14 million internal combustion engines each year.
2001 was another year where Honda has accomplished something; they become the second-largest Japanese automobile manufacturer.
Behind General Motors, Volkswagen Group, Toyota, Hyundai Motor Group, Ford, Nissan and PSA, Honda was the eighth largest automobile manufacturer in the world, back in 2011.
The car brand was also the first Japanese automobile manufacturer to release a dedicated luxury brand, Acura, in 1986.
Today, it is one of the most recognizable car brands in the world.
