Janet Yellen, the Chair of the Board of Governors of the United States Federal Reserve System is the first woman to head the most influential central bank in the world.
The one of just two women on the list, Yellen controls the monetary policy of the world’s most powerful economy. After all, someone’s got to do this job too!

She stated that the Fed will keep short-term interest rates near zero but her top priority is to somehow remedy the gap between rich and poor.
