2Buda Castle
Now that’s stunning! The palace complex of the Hungarian kings was first completed in 1265, built on the southern tip of Castle Hill.
While you’re here, check out the Castle District, famous for its churches, 19th-century houses and for its Medieval and Baroque style.
In 1987, it was declared a Heritage Site and now, Buda Castle is a part of Budapest World Heritage Site.
The castle was designed by Jean Nicolas Jadot, Alajos Hauszmann and Miklos Ybl and covers an area of 1.8 square miles.
Something that we bet you didn’t know is that this castle’s courtyard was used as the setting for ‘Firework’, Katy Perry’s 2010 music video.
