How much is Ash Barty worth in 2026?

We estimate $21 million in US dollars, in a range of $15 million to $30 million. Prize money is the documented part. Endorsements after 2022, book income and investment returns are our assumptions, so this is a rough estimate, and we say where each number comes from. Australian dollars convert at 1.434 to the US dollar, the rate on November 3, 2026.

Public estimates tend to run higher because they add prize money and endorsements together and stop there. Her team, her tax bill and eight years of living costs all come out of that money.

How Ash Barty built it

  • Left at the very top. She retired on March 23, 2022, at 25, while ranked world number one.
  • Earned nearly half in one season. Her 2019 prize money of $11.3 million was 47 percent of her career total.
  • Put money into property. She bought a South Yarra townhouse in 2022 and a Palm Beach apartment in 2024.

How we got to $21 million

Source Our estimate What it rests on
Career prize money $23.8 million The WTA all-time list shows $23,829,070, and her career record shows $23,829,071. This is before coaches, travel and tax.
Endorsements to March 2022 $10.5 million A 2022 report estimated about A$15 million from deals including Jaguar, Vegemite, Fila, Rado, Head, Marriott Bonvoy and Uber Eats. That’s converted at today’s rate, and the amount is an estimate.
Endorsements since retiring $4.6 million Assumption: $1 million a year for 4.6 years. She became Optus’s chief of inspiration in 2022, and no terms are public.
Books $1 million Assumption. Her memoir is My Dream Time. We could not open an advance or a royalty figure.
Coaches and touring costs minus $3.6 million Assumption: 15 percent of prize money.
Tax minus $14.5 million Assumption: 40 percent of the $36.3 million left after touring costs.
Returns on savings $3.5 million Assumption: 5 percent a year on an average $15 million for 4.6 years. Her property is bought out of this money, so it isn’t added again.
Living costs minus $4 million Assumption: $500,000 a year for eight years, 2019 through 2026.
Total $21.3 million The rows sum to $21.3 million, which we round to $21 million.

What retiring at 25 really cost

In the last full list before she quit, Forbes had her earning $6.9 million in a year, including $3 million from endorsements, good for eighth among female athletes. Here is our calculation. From March 2022 to November 2026 is about 4.6 years. At $6.9 million a year, that’s $32 million before tax and about $19 million after 40 percent. She gave up close to a second copy of her fortune, and that assumes she never won another major or matched her best year.

That best year was 2019: $11,307,587 in prize money, or 47 percent of her career total in one season. By 2021 it was $3.9 million. The 2022 Australian Open title alone paid A$2.875 million, and she retired that March.

A townhouse that went nowhere

Her paper trail is mostly property. Public records show she paid A$1.88 million for a South Yarra townhouse in 2022, her Melbourne base, and in February 2025 it was listed with a guide of A$1.85 million to A$2 million. At the midpoint, A$1.925 million, that’s a gain of A$45,000 on paper before any costs, about 2.4 percent in three years by our math. We could not open a sale result.

The bigger buy came in 2024: a reported A$4 million apartment in the Kloud building at Palm Beach, about $2.8 million at today’s rate. It’s a 200 square metre holiday home that was still under construction in December 2024. The family home backs onto Brookwater Golf Course, and reports add properties in Springfield Lakes and Augustine Heights, with no prices.

Where the money stands now

The latest dated money event we could open is that February 2025 listing. Her most recent public role is unpriced: on August 8, 2026, she presented the Ash Barty Cup in Darwin at the National Indigenous Tennis Carnival, part of her work as Tennis Australia’s National Indigenous Tennis Ambassador.

Three things would move the figure. A disclosed Optus or sponsor contract would replace our $1 million a year. A sale at Palm Beach would show whether the property side has done better than South Yarra. A book sales figure could lift the $1 million row. If her after-retirement deals run at half the $3 million she earned from endorsements in her last full list, the row would rise by about $2.3 million before tax.
