Damian Lillard’s net worth is estimated at $120 million as of November 2026. The Portland guard has earned far more than that, and the gap is mostly tax and spending. The strangest line in his finances: Milwaukee owes him about $113 million for not playing there, roughly 2.7 times the $42 million Portland agreed to pay him to play.

How Damian Lillard built it
- Bet on one shoe partner. He stayed with Adidas from a 2014 deal through a lifetime extension reported in December 2024.
- Stayed sharp while sidelined. He won the Three-Point Contest in February 2026 without having played a game that season.
- Went back where he started. He signed for three years and $42 million in Portland in July 2025, the club that drafted him.

We estimate about $120 million, built below from pay already received. The salary record is well documented. The endorsement money is not, so that part of the sum is our assumption and is labelled as one. Public estimates mostly sit below ours, and many of them are years old, so they miss the last two seasons of pay and the Milwaukee money.
How we got to $120 million
| Source | Our estimate | What it rests on |
|---|---|---|
| NBA pay through 2025-26, after tax and fees | $171 million | About $380 million gross, worked out below. We assume he kept 45 percent after federal and state tax, agent fees and escrow. The 45 percent is our assumption. |
| Adidas and other endorsements, after tax | $72 million | Our assumption: $12 million a year for 12 years (2014 to 2026) is $144 million, and he keeps half. Terms were never published in full. |
| Spending, family, homes and giving | minus $122 million | Our assumption: half of the $243 million above is gone. Nothing public documents this, and it is the biggest swing factor on the page. |
| Total | $120 million | Sums to $121 million, rounded down. |
Waived, and paid twice
In early July 2025, the Bucks waived him and spread the $113 million left on his deal over five seasons, KATU reported. The NBA’s own write-up says $103 million, so the reports don’t fully agree. We use $113 million, the figure KATU and the AP account NBC carried both give. Two weeks later he signed for three years and $42 million in Portland, with a player option on the third year and a no-trade clause.
Now the sum. By our calculation, $113 million plus $42 million comes to $155 million, and Milwaukee supplies 73 percent of it. Being waived took nothing away: he still collects what was left on the old deal, and Portland’s $42 million sits on top, though it runs a year longer if he takes the option. When he signed the 2022 extension, Boardroom listed a projected $58.5 million and $63.2 million for the last two seasons, or $121.7 million, about $9 million above what was left by 2025.
Why his career pay has two answers
Boardroom put him at $191.2 million through 2021-22, then $42.5 million, $45.6 million and $48.8 million for the next three seasons. That adds up to $328.1 million through 2024-25.
The 2025-26 season is where it gets slippery. ESPN’s reporting, relayed by Pro Football Network, said about $70 million that season and about $141 million across two seasons. CBS Sports described $22.5 million a year from Milwaukee, plus $14.1 million from Portland, which is $36.6 million. So career pay through 2025-26 is either about $365 million or about $398 million, and we use $380 million, close to the middle. If he plays out everything, the lifetime total is $328 million plus $155 million, or about $483 million.
Adidas, twice
His agent told USA Today in 2014 that the Adidas deal could be worth well over $100 million with incentives, while conceding it wasn’t all guaranteed. We could not confirm any yearly figure, so the $12 million average in our ledger is an assumption. In December 2024 ESPN’s Shams Charania reported a lifetime Adidas extension, with no price attached. The rap career as Dame D.O.L.L.A gets no row of its own: we found no figure for it.
What 2026 changed, and what could move the number
He hadn’t played a game in 2025-26 when he won the Three-Point Contest on February 14, 2026, his third. He made his season debut on October 21, 2026, with 25 points in a win over Phoenix. In August 2025 he also became general manager of the Weber State men’s program, his old college team, and no pay was reported.
Three things would move the figure: the 2027-28 player option, the undisclosed lifetime Adidas terms, and the Milwaukee payments, which on the five-season schedule run through 2029-30.
