Jackie Chan Net Worth: How rich is Jackie Chan? & How much money is Jackie Chan worth? Time to find out!

Jackie Chan is a Hong Kong martial artist, actor, film director, producer, stuntman, and singer, and his current net worth is $365 million.

Born in British Hong Kong to Charles and Lee-Lee Chan, refugees from the Chinese Civil War, Jackie grew up to be an icon for young generations, and one of the richest men in the world.

Growing up, he spent most of his time within the grounds of the consul’s residence in the Victoria Peak district, because his parents used to work for the French ambassador in Hong Kong.

In his teenage years he went to the Nah-Hwa Primary School on Hong Kong Island, where he didn’t do too well, leaving his parents with the only solution to withdraw him from school.

After his father left to work in Australia, he was sent to China Drama Academy, where he worked hard for the next decade to train in martial arts and acrobatics.

He was a member of the Seven Little Fortunes, a performance group made up of school’s best students. This is where he got the stage name Yuen Lo in homage to his master.

He started his acting career by starring in small roles at the age of five. When he was eight he appeared with some colleagues from “Little Fortunes”, in Big and Little Wong Tin Bar (1962).

Then he got the opportunity to learn kapkido under the master Jin Pal Kim, along with Sammo Hung. He did so good that eventually got the black belt.

He is also trained in other styles of martial arts such as Karate, Judo, Taekwondo and Jeet Kune Do, and also knows a lot of languages such as Cantonese, Mandarin, Thai, English, American Sign Language, some German, Korean, Japanese, and some other.

After appearing as an extra in a kung fu film from 1970s, he got a contract with Chu Mu’s Great Earth Film Company. When he was 17 years old, he was a stuntman in the Bruce Lee films Fist of Fury and Enter the Dragon.

Jackie got his first leading role the same year, in Little Tiger of Canton. In 1975 Chan has made his only film to date, where he isn’t performing any stunts or any fight scene, but appears in his first nude sex scene, “All in the Family”. He did the film because he had trouble finding work.

After working for a while as a construction worker, when he joined his parents in Canberra, a colleague of his took him after his protection and gave him the nickname of “Little Jack”.

In the next few years, he has been offered a role in a film, after receiving a telegram from Willie Chan, a film producer, saying that he was impressed with Jackie’s stunt work.

They changed his stage name and had plans to “model” him after Bruce Lee for the film New First of Fury, but it was a disaster because he wasn’t accustomed to Lee’s martial arts style.

Today he is known for his acrobatic fighting style, coming timing, use of improvised weapons and stunning stunts, which he performs himself.

Jackie is also a singer, and not many people know this but he is a operatically trained vocalist and also a Cantopop and Mandopop star, with several albums released and have sung in many of the theme songs for his films.

He is also a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, and supports conservation, is against animal abuse.

He is a happily married man since 1982 with Feng-Jiao Lin, with whom he has one child.
