How much is Kirstie Allsopp worth in 2026?
This one is a rough estimate: little of the money is documented. No property price, contract or set of accounts we could open shows what she earns or owns, so most of the table below is our reasoning, with the assumptions out in the open.
We convert at $1.33 to the pound, the October 2026 average on X-Rates. Public estimates run about twice ours or more. They show no working, but the likely gap is counting whole family properties and treating pay as if none went on tax or a household of six.
How Kirstie Allsopp built it
- Started in home search. She founded the home search company Kirmir in 1996, four years before the show began.
- Stayed with one show for decades. Location, Location, Location has run since 2000 and has reached 45 series.
- Restored a long empty house. Meadowgate stood empty for 39 years before her family restored it, and it now lets from £2,602 a week.

| Source | Our estimate | What it rests on |
|---|---|---|
| Half of the Notting Hill home | $3.3 million | Assumption. She has owned the house since September 2006 and no price is public. A £5 million value is our guess, and we credit her half, £2.5 million, because the family home is shared with her husband. |
| Half of Meadowgate, Devon | $1.15 million | Assumption. 20 let weeks at £2,602 is £52,040 a year. At a 3 percent gross yield that values the house at about £1.73 million, and half is about £867,000. Accounts differ on how it is held, so we split it. |
| Inheritance | $1.2 million | Her father, a former Christie’s chairman, died in 2024. A NationalWorld report put her share of a roughly £6 million estate at £1.5 million, but the page blocked us and we saw only a search excerpt, so treat that as unconfirmed. Inheritance tax at an assumed 40 percent leaves £900,000. |
| Savings from TV and other work | $2.8 million | Assumption. £500,000 a year for 26 years is £13 million. After 45 percent tax that leaves £7.15 million. Half going on living costs and £1.5 million into the homes above leaves about £2.08 million. |
| Total | $8.5 million | The rows sum to $8.45 million, rounded. |
The pay nobody publishes
All of the sums above lean on the £500,000 a year, so it’s worth testing. The show has run since May 2000, reaching 45 series and 405 episodes. If every pound of the £13 million came from those episodes, it would work out at about £32,000 each, by our calculation. That’s too high for the show alone, since she has fronted Love It or List It and Kirstie’s Homemade Home as well. As a blended number it isn’t crazy.
Each £100,000 change to that annual pay moves our total by about £715,000, or $950,000. At £300,000 a year the total falls to about $6.5 million. At £800,000 it rises to about $11 million. That is where our range comes from, and it’s the honest size of what we don’t know.
Her other work adds to the same bucket, with less to go on. A booking agency lists her in its under £20,000 fee band. A three-book deal with Hodder made headlines in 2011, with the terms behind a paywall. The Handmade Fair launched in 2014 at Hampton Court Palace with Brand Events as organiser. We found no evidence she owns a stake in the fair, so we give it no separate value.
A wreck that pays its way
Meadowgate in Welcombe had stood empty for 39 years before the family took it on and restored it. It now sleeps 14 across six bedrooms. Twenty let weeks would gross about £52,000 before cleaning, agents and tax.
Her route into all of this was property rather than television. She worked in an estate agency at 17 and founded a home search company, Kirmir, in 1996, focusing on top-end buyers in central and west London. Her husband, Ben Andersen, is a property developer, and we don’t count his business here.
What we left out, and what would change it
A January 2026 report on Vern Leaze, her childhood home in Wiltshire, describes it as her late father’s, last valued at £3.5 million in 2021, and doesn’t say who holds it now. We don’t count it, since any share of it would already sit in the estate figure.
The freshest evidence of earning power is the show itself: a new series started on Channel 4 around May 6, 2026, with filming for the next one set for that June. She called the Notting Hill house ugly in a 2013 Guardian interview and said she wasn’t a mover, as Hello recounted in June 2025. A published pay figure, a sale of either home or an end to the Channel 4 run would each move this estimate more than anything else on the page.
