How much is Paul Hollywood worth in 2026?

We estimate $13 million. This one is a rough estimate: his current contract and recent company accounts aren’t in anything we could open, so most of the ledger rests on press reports of older filings plus assumptions we label below. It leaves out any private family costs we can’t see. Public estimates sit near the top of our range, partly because a company’s value gets counted as if it were cash he had already kept. We converted pounds at $1.33, the October 2026 average rate.

How we got to $13 million

Source Our estimate What it rests on
Bake Off pay, 2010 to 2026, gross $6.3 million £4.7 million: 10 Channel 4 series at a reported £400,000, plus 7 BBC series at £100,000. The Channel 4 rate may have changed, and holding it flat is our assumption.
Everything else, gross $30.7 million £23.1 million: about £900,000 a year for 16 years, plus £8.7 million for 2018. The yearly rate is the reported 2013-14 income less BBC pay, held flat by assumption. Tours, books, other shows and merchandise sit here.
Income tax minus $16.7 million Our assumption: 45 percent of the $37 million gross above.
Living costs minus $7.4 million Our assumption: 20 percent of the gross, which also covers homes and cars.
Total $12.9 million The rows sum to $12.9 million, which we round to $13 million.

About £40,000 an episode

When Bake Off moved to Channel 4, regional UK papers carried the widely repeated figures: £1.2 million over three years, or £400,000 a series, under a contract now believed to have ended, with his pay expected to be higher since. City AM wrote in 2016 that the move would pay him about four times his BBC money, which implies £100,000 a series at the BBC.

The current series has 10 episodes, so £400,000 works out at £40,000 an episode by our calculation. Add it up across every series and you get 10 times £400,000 plus 7 times £100,000, or £4.7 million. That is about 17 percent of the £27.8 million gross in our ledger. He is the face of the show, and the show is the smaller part of the money.

The year that swings the whole estimate

Heart reported in 2019 that he made £9.1 million in 2018. Citing The Sun, it also said HJP Media LLP had been valued at £7.3 million and that Paul Hollywood Limited had added £1.8 million in 12 months. Those two add up to exactly £9.1 million by our calculation, so the headline may be a company value plus a year’s gain and not a year of income. No filing we could open settles it. We keep the £9.1 million because it is the only figure for that period, and we don’t add the £7.3 million on top, since that would count the same money twice.

Take that one year out and the gross falls by £8.7 million, or about $11.6 million. Our tax and spending rows leave him 35 percent of each pound, so the total drops by about $4 million to $9 million. That is the bottom of our range, and it shows how much of this page leans on a single seven-year-old report.

A company with cash in it, and 375,000 cookbooks

The hardest number we found is an old one. Companies House accounts cited by City AM showed £1,329,042 of funds in Paul Hollywood Ltd at June 30, 2015. Mary Berry’s company held £399,315 on the same date, so his pile was 3.3 times hers.

Spear’s reported in 2016 that How to Bake and Paul Hollywood’s Bread had together sold more than 275,000 copies, with Pies and Puds above 100,000. It put his 2013-14 income at almost £1 million across the BBC contract, books, tours and merchandise, and listed a £135,000 Aston Martin DB9. The route there started in his father’s bakery, then hotel kitchens including The Dorchester and Cliveden. His latest cookbook, Celebrate, came out on June 5, 2025.

What would move the figure

Bake Off was renewed on September 22, 2026 for an 18th series in 2027, with Nigella Lawson now beside him after Prue Leith’s exit. His own terms weren’t published. On our assumptions, each extra £100,000 a series would leave him about $47,000. A set of recent company accounts would matter far more: it could replace most of the second row in the table.
