3- Ancient Statue Used As Bike Rack
A 2,700-year-old statue of Pharaoh Taharqa was discovered by two Egyptologists in the basement of a British museum.
The old statue is the perfect portrayal of the Egyptian king represented as a god marching forward in victory.
Pharaoh Taharqa’s statue remained in the basement of Southampton’s God’s House Tower archaeological museum for over a hundred of years.
Not many people knew about the statue so, the staff had been using it as a bike rack.
Its importance only became known by chance, when the two Egyptian experts were visiting the museum and noticed it.
Now the statue has its own place, far away from the staff’s bikes.
