Most Prosperous Cities in the World | Top 10

8Oslo – CPI 0.929

The capital of oil-rich Norway gets a City Prosperity Index of 0.929.
Before Norway stuck gold in the 1950s, the country was just a regular country in northern Europe.

It’s not a member state of the European Union either. Therefore, it keeps the profits from the oil business on lockdown. The result? Highly cost of living in Norway.

A coffee may not be as expensive as the one in Tokyo, but a beer can end up costing you $14.10.

Transport is also expensive. To help increase the prosperity, Oslo is surrounded by several parklands, with hill walking, fishing and cross-country skiing.
